VERE LANCIA has seen many cars coming into our workshop that were sold as unspoiled, original to the last detail. Or even restored to the highest standards. Or in concours condition. They may have been so looking through the sellers eyes but they certainly were not so when you take off your pink sunglasses.
We know cars can get into repairshops for just a quick fix; they were daily drivers afterall. A big applause for the mechanic that managed to keep them going – even when there were no original parts or even aftermarket parts at hand. But by the time any car is to be restored one would expect there is a box of the right type of screws available. Or a quality of leather that could have been used in the era.
VERE LANCIA uses the fine fingers of a Spannish dress maker as well as the shark sharp eyes of a Portugese interior dresser for the finishing touches. That is after our German raised electronics specialist and a Dutch gravel bike dude glued the isolation sheeting and the new wire loom into the freshly painted body. All in-house or just around the corner.
The Italian car industry used limited colour schemes for their paint jobs – so do we. This is the correct shade of pistache for the Fulvia Coupé of our Hollywood cliente – an original shade, seldom used. Once your car is ready to run again we take her out for a long spin. We will test her in sunny weather along our beach front just as well in heavy rain on a circuit. We know you will probably never use the heater but if you insist we alsorun her over the frozen tops of the Alps.
When we know you will appreciate the car as much as we do, we can ship her anywhere. And accompany her on her outings on concours lawns as well as during Historic Rally Events. To make you the proud owner and bystanders smile.
